Our History goes back to 1972 (50 years ago) – when our MD Norrie Kerr started the only UK Scooter Magazine at the time – “Scooter & Scooterist”. Scooter World magazine had sadly just ceased production. Thoughtfully remembered as S&S, Norrie continued production for 14 years, until 1987. To this day Norrie is currently still the longest-serving editor of a UK scooter magazine, 14 Years! Whilst he was producing S&S, in 1980, he took a position with sales at Douglas Vespa in Bristol, and in 1982 he started S&S Power Products. 1983 Norrie (on Vespa) and his business partner Dave Webster (on Lambretta) opened Midland Scooter Centre (MSC), and whilst at MSC, Norrie took on the rights to Malossi in the UK. At the time, Dave & Norrie ran the largest scooter shop in the UK. The shop boasted the two Top Tuners on Vespa & Lambretta, and they were both UK Champions and they won numerous classes and race/sprint championships, (Norrie retired from competitive racing in 2001). In November 1989 Norrie left the partnership to take up Malossi UK full time to provide a wholesale company to supply the top scooter brands to UK dealers. Malossi UK morphed into VE (UK) in 1990 and we are still here today doing the same top brands and offering top quality service and knowledge to all our customers. In 2019 we opened our doors to supply retail customers. We still offer trade terms to scooter dealers. That’s One-Company – One-Owner – and still the same owner, after 50 years in scootering!
