FOOTBOARD STRIP KIT – fits GS160 VSB1

VE24064 FLOORBOARD STRIP SET - VESPA GS160. The set is supplied with 6 aluminium channels with 2 under channel support for the outer channels, rubber insert for the channels, 12 metal end caps, and a set of soft aliminium rivets. Footboard strip sets (or floor runner kit) are not a perfect fit out of the box, they must be tailored to your machine. Most often they come with a pre bent curve, this is always bent a bit early and during fitting the channel will be bent down as it is riveted to match the curve of the legshields, on some rare models, they are supplied with flat channels, it is recommended to fit the rubber into the channel to support it as you apply the curve to it, some models may also require a slight twist on the front end of the channel, so the channel sits flush to the legshields. Please note on some of the rare Vespa GS models the channel sets do not come with holes pre drilled, so these will need marking out and drilling by the person undertaking the fitting. There are many videos on YouTube covering this subject and the various techniques used can be learned before undertaking the task of fitting.
