VM317676 MALOSSI 178 CAST IRON CYLINDER KIT - FITS VESPA PX & LARGE FRAME 125-150 MOTORS WITH 3 PORT CRANKCASES (fits electric start motors). The famous Malossi 166 kit is dead, long live the New Malossi 178 kit, Malossi have finally done what everybody wanted, they have increased the size of the 166 kit from a 61mm bore, to a 63mm bore and made it 178cc, but being Malossi they did not stop there, they didn't just bore out a 166 kit and put in a bigger piston, no this is not how Malossi work, they took their time, revised the cylinder internal ports using fluid dynamics to optimise flow and obtain a significant increase in torque & performance, even the exhaust port has had a major overhaul, with a new larger timing and redesigned profile, this is one serious upgrade. The kit is supplied with cylinder (barrel), piston kit with rings, pin and circlips, latest generation cylinder head with curved cooling fins and under side fins help keep the motor cooler than ever before, top end gasket set, and some jets for the standard carb. NOTE this kit uses long reach spark plugs. Cross reference 3117676.
