Malossi VX553349 inner rotor ignition system is designed to overcome the limitations of traditional flywheel ignitions, which struggle to deliver stable performance beyond 10,000 rpm and often create setup issues on high-revving race engines. This advanced system replaces the conventional layout with a compact inner-rotor design capable of delivering consistent, precise ignition timing all the way to 16,000 rpm, eliminating the instability associated with heavier flywheel-based units. At the heart of the system is a variable-advance control unit managed by a microprocessor and built using modern S.M.T. technology for reliability and accuracy. The high-voltage coil uses capacitive discharge to maintain an exceptionally strong and constant 30,000-volt spark output up to 20,000 rpm, ensuring clean combustion even under extreme conditions. The rotorâstator assembly features a dynamically balanced 58 mm permanent-magnet inner rotor engineered for low power absorption, paired with a stator sealed in shock-resistant, waterproof resin for durability. An additional anti magnetic stainless-steel inertial flywheel measuring 94.5 mm provides extra mass and stability where required. Cross reference Malossi 5513349.
