0653018895 MALOSSI MHR TEAM CRANKSHAFT 14mm PIN - 100mm ROD - 47mm STROKE - for MALOSSI MHR 100cc CYLINDERS on DERBI D50B0-D50B1 MOTORS. .The Malossi crankshaft for the 100 cc cylinder is primarily composed of two half-shafts forged from special steel, machined on high-precision CNC tools, and then subjected to a thermochemical treatment involving carburizing, hardening, and cryogenic cooling in nitrogen. This process gives the halfshafts exceptional hardness and strength, essential for supporting the high power output generated by the 100 cc cylinder. The surfaces of the crankshaft are then ground with high-precision equipment, particularly the bearing seats, which have tolerances on the order of a few thousandths of a millimeter (-0.001 mm) and are lapped to achieve exceptionally low surface roughness. This level of precision ensures smooth operation and minimizes friction, thereby increasing engine longevity. The half-shafts are assembled to the connecting rods using special equipment that guarantees ultraprecise fitting. The connecting rods, machined from aerospace-grade steel using CNC technology, are thermochemically treated to achieve exceptional hardness and case-hardening thickness values. The roller bearing surfaces of the connecting rods are fully lapped to very low roughness, improving glide and minimizing friction for the same reason, the connecting rods are equipped with specific lubrication channels in the most stressed areas. The crankshaftâs balance has been studied and executed to optimize the performance of highpower engines, achieving a dynamic balance up to 16,000 RPM. This level of balancing ensures smooth and regular operation even at extremely high rotational speeds, making the Malossi crankshaft ideal for top-level competitive use. The needle cages, mounted on the crankshaft coupling, are made with special profiled antitorsion rollers, selected with tolerances of a few thousandths of a millimeter. The cage, made of steel with a silver coating, acts as a lubricating and antiwear element, ensuring optimal performance even in conditions of reduced lubrication. Cross reference Malossi 5318895.
