VC24042 Floorboard strip kit (Floor runner kit) Thin type. Another top quality Italian made part, this footboard strip set (or floor runner kit) is the narrower 14mm width chanels that is used on early models, it comes with 6 main footboard aluminium chanels, plus 2 smaller chanels for on top of the central tunnel (VNA-VNB only), the rubber to insert in to the aluminium chanels, and a set of end caps and rivets. Footboard strip sets are not a perfect fit out of the box, they must be tailored to your machine. Most often they come with a pre bent curve, this is always bent a bit early and during fitting the channel will be bent down as it is riveted to match the curve of the legshields, some models may also require a slight twist on the front end of the channel, so the channel sits flush to the legshields. There are many videos on YouTube covering this subject and the various techniques used can be learned before undertaking the task of fitting.
