VMC00708-60 VMC KAPPA 60 144cc CYLINDER KIT - SMALL FRAME VESPA . .The VMC Kappa 60 is built for riders who want real-world power without losing the reliability and character of a classic Vespa engine. With a 60mm bore and 51mm stroke, it delivers a lively 144cc setup that pulls cleanly across the rev range while staying cool, stable, and long-lasting. Its 122 degree transfer and 180 degree exhaust timings give the engine a strong, usable delivery that feels responsive without ever becoming fragile, and when paired with the VMC Siluro exhaust it keeps the traditional sound and silhouette that smallframe riders love. Construction quality is exactly what youâd expect from VMC. The piston uses a double-wall aluminium alloy with a high silicon content for excellent heat stability, while the CNC-machined die-cast head features a side-mounted spark plug for efficient combustion and easy access. Steel rings, pin, and retainers complete a package built for durability as well as performance. Fitment is straightforward for Piaggio smallframe crankcases using a 51mm stroke crank and 97mm conrod, with no need to remove the crankcase dust cover. The only required machining is opening the cylinder mouth to 64mm for around 8 mm depth to accept the larger spigot. VMC includes a steel guide that screws into the stud holes, allowing this to be done accurately even with a manual cutter. The result is a beautifully balanced 144cc setup that offers strong torque, smooth delivery, and the unmistakable feel of a well-sorted Vespa engine. For riders who want dependable performance with proper engineering behind it, the Kappa 60 hits the sweet spot.
